The meaning of the phrase “true romance” differs greatly depending on who you ask. For some, the idea of an intimate dinner for two and long-stem red roses says it all. Yet for others, “True Romance” more likely brings to mind an early '90s Christian Slater movie in which he falls for a hooker, kills her pimp and shoots up a great number of people (Tarantino in his early days).
For those of you who comprise the latter group, we’ve compiled a list of inspired ideas to help you show that special someone just how much you truly care.
It may be a Hallmark holiday. It may be just for “chicks.” But Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to leave you thinking of dollar signs and dinners for two. Be creative. With a little thought and imagination, you can take this trite tradition and turn it into a real reason to celebrate romance.
