Once marketed as the “Paris of the Midwest,” the fashion spotlight shined on Detroit as the two-day Fashion in Detroit event kicked off at MotorCity Casino’s Sound Board. The designers included Adriana Pavon, Geftaki/Julie Lindsay, English Laundry presented by Showtime Clothing, Ines Di Santo, Peter Hildalgo, Femilia Couture, Christiane LaRue by Bonnie Foley, Moosejaw, Heike Jarick, Prophetik by Jeff Gardner, and Motor City Denim Co. by “Project Runway” winner and Fashion in Detroit creator, Joe Faris.
