WRIF-FM (101.1) kicked off its fourth annual Rock Girl contest where dozens of ladies demonstrated they were ready for the job which includes reading a mock traffic report, posing for the cameras and impressing the judges – their potential future co-workers at the rock radio station.
Only one, however (Sarah), was crowned the 2009 WRIF Rock Girl. The coveted gig -- including a $40,000 yearly salary, the afternoon-drive traffic reporter position, and a scholarship to Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts -- was awarded at the Rock Girl final party at the Fillmore.
