Well put, Keith. I too am a member of the same generation/class/whatever... a new college grad active in downtown Detroit urbania, who had to leave for greener pastures aka real career opportunities 3 years ago. Yes, also as a esult of the infamous Michigan "brain drain." As much as these mostly fake "Detroit Renaissance" organizations, as they crop up in the hundreds, boarded by Big 3 CEOs and other people that not only know nothing of what they are talking about, but were directly a part of the problems that caused the "brain drain," I still love the D, and know what it means to truly miss it, and how it IS so hard to leave - because it sticks to you. All of the places you mention are near and dear to my heart as well, and these are examples of why the D is world-class in its own way. Yet, I also know how limiting it is as well.

i love detroit its where i was born and i love showing off our towns and cities at home in michigan .i just want our state to keep up the good work .we have so much rich history.we cant never be disrespected.our cities are the best in the midwest.
