Metromix sponsored Conquered, the inaugural afterparty of this year’s 32nd annual marathon. Known as a world-class, international event where participants cross the Ambassador Bridge, run along the Windsor Riverwalk, pass through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel and run through historic downtown Detroit, the Detroit Free Press threw a party at the finish line to celebrate the accomplishment of all those who conquered the race.

Hosted by CW50 Detroit’s Gossip Girls Danielle, Lauren and Veronica, talent included headliner and Michigan native Brian Vander Ark of the Verve Pipe Fame, Killer Flamingos, Brandon Calhoon and DJ Whip. Atwater Block Brewery and Barefoot Wine quenched the runners’ post-race thirst with profits benefiting Detroit Free Press Charities, Inc.’s Gift of Reading program. Attendees recharged with food and snacks from Whole Foods Market, Crushed Healthy Smoothies, Jackson’s Five Star Catering and Cool Carts To Go.
