The Motor City rawk monster 101.1 WRIF understands this concept completely and has caused an uncompromising stir in red-blooded listeners for the last couple years during the Rock Girl contest, in which metro Detroit's finest strut their stuff and compete through a rigorous "interview process" in which one will reign supreme. Once crowned, Miss Rock Girl has the responsibility of reppin' the RIFF for a full year -- and the gig pays $40G! Nice.

With "Hey Man, Nice Shot" Filter headlining the concert and the Top 8 in front of a rabid Royal Oak Music Theatre crowd, it was just a matter of time before one lucky (and talented) star shined above the rest.
