Ahh, public transportation in metro Detroit. Nice (green) ring to it, huh? Thursday, Oct. 9 the Night Move Bus -- a 30-passenger eco-friendly ride currently en route from Royal Oak to Ferndale to Detroit and back Friday and Saturday nights -- was celebrated at the Woodward Avenue Brewers by a ton of supporters from across the region who have been advocating hard for more public transit (or just needed a ride). “We’re hoping the service will both increase accessibility between the suburbs and the city as well as provide a cheap and safe way to travel," Night Move main man Chris Ramos said to Metromix before the Launch party. "We’re also planning to add additional routes and days of service soon after the launch.”
