Party pics: History of House
October 18, 2008
DJ Norm Talley and Kelli Smith
Presented by Synergy, the historic Whitney was turned into two levels of pulse-thumping dance floors as DJs Norm Talley and Rick Wilhite spun records (yes records—no Macbooks at this party) touching on all genres of house music from progressive to disco and jazz to the house music of today. If Bud Liebler, owner of the Whitney Detroit, has anything to say about this historical Detroit Landmark, it is that they are doing their best to “unstuff the Whitney.”

Hope you had a Happy Birthday Kelli! I concur about the historic location! It was perfect for the records Norm was spinning :)
