Mother Nature did her thang and dumped on Detroit Wednesday night forcing CityFesters to take cover. But that didn't stop the Silent Years, the Hentch Men and Magic Shop from rocking at the Magic Stick/Garden Bowl. Inside Northern Lights Lounge, Uncle Paulie and Benny Ben were whipping up a tasty stew of those raw hip-hop beats while rumors were swirling CityFest Main Stage headliners De La Soul were gonna rap it up at the intimate venue. That didn't happen. But, despite the bad weather, good times were had by all. And even better times are sure to shine on as the sun is now looking over the New Center Area for the holiday weekend.
