IADT Fashion Show at the Masonic Temple

Saturday night, April 26, the Masonic Temple’s Crystal Ballroom was energized with big-city runway excitement as Troy’s International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) presented its Dream 4 Fashion Designs Show to a standing-room-only crowd. Close to 40 student designers of all ages presented their fashion fantasies – everything from classy evening wear for the ladies, casual sports wear for the fellas and even some wedding gowns – were displayed. Tony McCants started the night with a high-energy rap attack and then the models walked the walk down the Detroit runway. Signature struts aside, the talent on hand was something to behold and five of the top students were honored: Fifth place went to Shajaun Gray; fourth place was awarded to Stephanie Schreiber; Chris Brown – no, not that one -- took third place; Porsha Webb was the first runner-up; and, best in show went to DeAndre Owen.
