Detroit Hip Hop Expose
Fashion by Pompous Apparel and Get Fresh Society Clothing
Sponsored by the Delta Sigma Theta Detroit Alumnae Chapter, the DelSprite -- a club comprised of young women enrolled in Detroit-area schools (grades 10-12) that encourages community service, social awareness and cultural enrichment -- hosted the Detroit Hip Hop Expose at Wayne County Community College. With a guest panel that included Channel 2 anchor and FM 98 WJLB radio host Charles Pugh and local hip-hop recording artist Young Scolla, members of the audience were encouraged to participate in discussions on what hip-hop music means to them.
The expose also included special performances by G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam recording artist Big Sean, Detroit native Rita Mosley, Jay Beretta, Dradie Da Don & Youngstar Leel and Young Scolla, and a special fashion show featuring clothing by Pompous Apparel and Get Fresh Society Clothing.
