Fashionmix at Tonic

Summer habitually evokes a change in wardrobe color as sun-filled skies and bloosming flowers inspire designers to breakout of the winter doldrums. Vibrant colors return as a top trend for summer ’09 as designers focus on color stories that make their collections pop.
The ladies at Tonic flaunted the trendiest of colors and did it right. Fuchia Red, Super Lemon, Vibrant Green and Palace Teal were the most sported and added punches of color all over the club. Fuchia Red is a real show-stopper that adds elegance to anything. Super Lemon continues to lead the way in color trends bringing a fun tangy optimistic outlook to the palette. While Vibrant Green and Palace Teal round out the color trends for this summer perpetuating the idea of freshness and renewal.
LaTonya King of Flint says,” Forever 21 is my fav place. The stuff is cute and cheap. I got my jeans and shoes that I’m wearing right now from there.”
Forever 21 seemed to be the most popular store of the night. Almost every top was a draped Grecian Goddess-inspired shirt that was very reminiscent of Anna Molinari designs of Bluemarine but cost just a fraction of the price at Forever 21 and/or Express.
The draped colorful tops work wonders when paired with a neutral or metallic. The color commands attention and draping conceals any body concerns, flattering all body types creating a sexy feminine silhouette. This summer, pair any look with metallic or black sandals and a simple wristlet.
