You could go several ways here. Flowing summer dresses, MOD (circa 1960’s) shift dresses or billowy ones -- that seem to be what people want now, according to Clothes Encounters in Farmington. “People want easy care, trendy, yet classic things that aren’t found at the mall,” says management. Bettie Page designs are also popular here for their form-fitting, but still flattering, 1950’s vamp flare that’s being revived. “It’s going 50’s without a poodle skirt,” says management. For rare finds, go to Apple Annie’s Vintage Clothing in Ypsilanti. (It just so happens to be where I found a great 1920’s style dress for 20 bucks.)
