all she needs to go by now a days -- kinda like Madonna. Now that people are starting to know her name, it's time for them to see her style.
Crystal Marie hopes to turn heads with C-My Style Event Planning LLC, one of the newest promotion companies for local, regional
and national businesses and events.
“The goal is to go above and beyond with different themes -- to the extreme -- (while) still keeping things low cost,” the 25-year-old
What started as a small
hobby with a simple canned food drive soon transitioned to work with black-tie affairs, local fashion design shows and playwrite parties.
The up-and-coming entrepreneur says she wants to turn events into experiences “where
people can witness how styles transcend into the 21st century.”
“I represent everybody,” she adds. “I love hosting, catering to other people. I do all the worrying for you."
Her speciality, besides non-profit fundraisers,
wedding celebrations, birthday bashes, bridal showers and spa parties, is "getting your name out there and keeping it in people’s
ears.”
To showcase her talents and introduce herself to those that don't know her, Crystal
Marie will host an introduction reception for C-MY Style from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Trendz in downtown
Besides an excuse for
free snacks and drinks, guests can also snag a 10 percent discount
on all purchases, special prizes and raffle loot. “There are accessories,
jewelry, purses, anything you can think of,”
Crystal Marie says. “
Athough her degree in Biology and soon-to-be degree in dietetics and hospitality management clash with her '80s/Bohemian style, it’s about finding your niche and enjoying it, Crystal Marie says. “I’m a budget shopper and planner, but I still keep it hot."
Much like event planning, Crystal Marie is not afraid to evolve.
