Great to see a NEW gay bar in Detroit. The inside is actually really nice and they now have a great new outdoor deck that is completely secure. Everything in the bar is new. So far so good. Bartenders are nice and not bad to look at. Parking lot is fenced in and has security. No problems.

My wife and I have visited Wintergarden 3 times in the past couple months. The food has always been scrumptuous and the female bartender who also serves tables during the week does a fabulous job and is very personable. I highly recommend the Blackened Whitefish dinner. Their burgers are always great too! When we come in during weekday afternoons, after purchasing lunch we get to play free pool. There may be a limit as to what hour you can play upto but we've haven't hit it. Anyways we both give it both thumbs up!!!!

First visit under new ownership. Met the owners who are enthusiastic about the neighborhood and community which is a plus for this Woodbridge resident. Friendly, pleasant music provided atmospher for conversation. The Irish egg rolls are very tasty and I'm looking forward to having lunch. Welcome to the community. We will be back.

I have been a guest of this bar at least 3 times, either alone for lunch or with a friend for dinner. At all times, the service and waitresses were fast, neat and the food was delicious and hot. Our drinks, whether mixed or beers were served quickly and never watered down. Try the humungus fungus, morel mushrooms, and the fish and chips. Quantity and quality, you will not be disappointed. I half wonder if that review was created by the competiion and reminds me of the old "CHEERS" show, where the staff would create negative stories about a competitors bar. Anyways, try it you will like it! and will not leave hungry or thirsty.

Cute girls all over the place, many people dancing on the dance floor... it is wonderful. Everything looks new and polished, the music is amazing and drinks are $2 till 11pm and on Fridays there are even more specials after that.

I have been a regular customer of J Dubs since back in the late 80's and I have never receved suck crapy service by the bartenders there as I recieved last weekend. The bar wasn't even busy. Vertigo was playing (Hats off to Johnny Bee on the band) But Eric I am sorry that you call Jan and Michelle Bartenders to put in bluntly they suck .My granddaughter could run circles around them. They need to go or your gonna loose all of your customers. The only one who knew what she was doing was Jackie. Jan is to old and to slow to be behind the bar. MIchelle takes 10 minutes to pour a drink or shot, or even serve a beer. Jan and Michelle both have refussed to wait on the waitresses and I have witnessed this first hand. Michelle also yelled at one of your waitresses and grabbed her by the arm. No customer wants to see that. Your waitresses are quicker then your bartenders. And speaking of waitresses. Why do you have a very experienced bartender on the floor. I'm talking about Jeanette. She is the best bartender that J Dubs has ever had and you put her on the floor. I dont see your business beng opened much longer. Make a change put Jeanette where she belongs. She was awsome in the 90's and she still is to ths day. I went to a wedding and other bars that Jeanette has worked at and she was great..

I go to Johnny B Good's every other weekend to karaoke and have a good time. The karaoke guy is awesome and a lot of fun to talk with. Drink range in price and there are sweet drink specails. really love going to his bar its always fun :)

When you think of a bar in downtown Detroit, this is what you picture: Sports Memorabilia, Great Food, and Expensive Drinks. Fortunately, Cobo Joe's has the most fair prices of any bar I've been to in Detroit. Our food came out fast and tasted great, they have some nice beer specials during games, and the owner will happily buy a round for your table and talk sports and the bar owning business with you. I had a great time here and I plan to go back soon.

It took at least 10 minutes for us to get a drink. The whole time there was terrible karaoke being played. The karaoke went from bad to worst each time someone new sang. The owner was a total dick to us. He was so bad when I am sober I may go fight him for being so terrible. He was a terrible Dick.

On the up side this is a great setting, very modern/post punk feeling and artwork. Keeep in mind before you go here there is a decent size group of regulars seem to get most all of the service while other customers wait to be served drinks, this can take a while. I also found as night went on while paying cash my change wasn't being given to me and was going straight into a tip jar. For the same atmosphere I would rather drive to Ann Arbor and visit the 8-ball Bar under the Blind Pig and recieve far superior service.

Saturday Feb 18th after visiting Mark Ridleys we ventured to this bar. We ended up on the second floor. We were celebrating my 30th birthday with a few friends. My husband had gone to the bar to watch the ending of the Michigan game. He was standing towards the back end of the bar watching the TV with another patron. There were two bouncers standing by the wall there. I went to go get my husband because I wasn't feeling well and wanted to leave. I walked up to the bouncers and said I need to get my husband, the short bald head bouncer said you can't go back there. I said well I just need my husband so we can go. He continued to tell me without looking at me that I can't go back there. So instead of him turning around to my husband who was standing right behind him at the bar and tapping him on the shoulder to tell him I wanted him he just kept repeating himself. And I kept asking well how am I suppose to get to him to tell him I want to go. So after the last time he repeated himself I moved closer to the bar. There was a guy sitting at the bar next to me, a guy next to him which was right on the side of the bouncer, and then my husband. I reached over the two guys and tapped my husband on the shoulder. When I did this the bouncer pushed me back and said I had to leave. He was throwing me out because I wanted to get my husbands attention. So my husband of course turned around since he felt me tap his shoulder and they were yelling at me to get out. He turned to the bouncer and very nicely asked them what was going on and why they were kicking me out. They then without giving an explanation started pushing my husband. My husband told them to not touch him and to tell him what was going on. Right after that the bouncer grabbed him from behind and took him to the wall behind the bar, by the time I could grab my friends husband for help since it was already 3 bouncers on my husband, and made it back to where they were they had put my husband to sleep. They ended up throwing my friends husband out for trying to figure out what was going on and my husband out the front door. Over what??? Because I wanted to tell him I wanted to leave anyways. Had the bouncer just let me tap him to say lets go, this would've all been avoided. I have absolutely know idea why it got so out of control. My husbands throat still hurts this morning from the excessive force these bouncers used on him and for what because he asked why they were trying to throw me out? This was totally uncalled for. My husband is military and I love how they treat those that fight for their rights in this country. He didn't get violent with these bouncers at all. Just wanted to know what was going on and this is how they treat their patrons. I will never return to this club, ever and will voice my opinion to anyone that wants to go in the future. They also almost tazzered him which I think it's illegal to carry tazers. Please do not give this club your money.
