Saturday's Uneek Summer Festival at Bookies featured a summer fashion show, but the goal of the event was to push “the messages of diversity,” by offering a variety of entertainment, says Robert Collins, president of Uneek. The 2-year-old company's name -- it's pronounced “unique” -- stands from Unifying Nationalities by Encouraging Education and Knowledge. It was founded by friends Collins, 30, of Romulus and Kirk McClung of California.
