Party pics: Red Bull Thre3style at Elektricity
Five of Detroit's best DJs heated up a chilly night in Pontiac during the Red Bull Thr3style qualifying round at Elektricity Nightclub. The event was one of 26 local contests that are part of a national tournament looking to find the best DJ in the country. Each DJ was given 15 minutes to show their skills with a set that had to feature three genres of music all while using a limited amount of gear. Detroit was represented by DJs Godfather, Mark EP, Prevu, Young Mase and Captn20. After a fierce battle, DJ Godfather took the top prize with DJ Prevu and Young Mase taking second and third places respectively. DJ Godfather now moves on to the regional completion in Chicago on February 21. The evening was emceed by Detroit's own Rude Jude, who kept the crowd entertained with his trademark quick wit and sharp tongue.
