Party pics: Detroit Tigers at CJ Mahoney's
Good times for a good cause were on tap during the 2012 Tip a Tiger event at CJ Mahoney’s Sports Grille in Troy.
The event saw Detroit Tiger’s players and local media personalities step behind the bar and serve their fans to raise money for charity. The tips the Tigers earned went to benefit the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities and Orange Hearts, a charity helping underprivileged children in Latin America. Detroit Tiger’s players in attendance included Joaquin Benoit, Jose Valverde, Octavio Dotel , Andy Dirks, Duane Below and Gerald Laird.
The evening included a silent auction and live broadcasts by 101 WRIF, 94.7 WCSX and the New Soft Rock 105.1. The large group of radio personalities on hand were joined by members of the Fox Sports Detroit broadcast team and the final four contestants of the 2012 WRIF Rock Girl search. A full house of eager fans and generous stars made for an enjoyable evening for all.
