Party pics: Backstreet Grand Opening at the Works
The grand opening of the Backstreet marked an evolution for the Works in downtown Detroit Saturday night. The inside of the Works has been renovated and an outdoor patio has been added to accommodate Backstreet, which has left its location at Joy and Greenfield. In honor of the move, Five15 put on a steamy underwear show, and DJ Josh Karmin kept the party moving all night.
Backstreet, which caters to the gay community, will take over the Works each Saturday from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. Other renovations at the Works include a Tiki bar, an additional bar in the dance room and the renovation of the second floor.
