From Ferndale to Rochester, there's plenty of tradition in store

Bastone Brewery
419 S. Main - Royal OakRoyal Oak’s Bastone Brewery will be celebrating from September 28-October 22 with their award-winning annual Rocktoberfest Lager, and if you purchase a limited-edition Oktoberfest mug for $10 you will receive $2 off any beer filled in the mug. Bastone will also be featuring a special seasonal Oktoberfest-inspired menu with a German sausage platter, a Black Forest Burger served with beer-braised onions, Sauerbraten served with German potato salad, Bavarian pork and a roasted chicken both served with spaetzle.
Black Lotus Brewing Company
1 E. Fourteen Mile - ClawsonClawson’s industrial-chic Black Lotus Brewery rolled out its special Oktoberfest beer on Sept. 20. On top of that, the scary good Halloween-themed Monster Mash is coming later in October.
Big Rock Chophouse
245 S. Eton - BirminghamThere will be no special Oktoberfest brew featured, but this chop house-brewery’s regular beer menu features a German Pilsner, an Altbier, and a Dopplebock for beer connoisseurs. Beer is available on draft or to go by the bottle and by the growler. While there also sample some of their fine food as they celebrate 25 years with $25 meals and 25% off wine.
Lily's Seafood
410 S. Washington - Royal OakLily’s puts on an annual Oktoberfest Beer Dinner, but this year the dinner will be held a little later to celebrate their 10-year anniversary! This five-course Oktoberfest Beer Dinner will be Thursday, Nov. 5 and will feature their special Oktoberfest brew, which will be released mid-October. They currently have a killer Sturgeon Bay Steam and a Gull Island Golden Ale on tap, and will be introducing a new late-night small bites menu this week.
Copper Canyon Brewery
27522 Northwestern Hwy. - SouthfieldThis local brewer does not distribute its own beer, so to experience what Copper Canyon has to offer you must make the trip to Southfield! Its signature Oktoberfest beer is coming soon; beer is also available to purchase by the growler or keg.
Rochester Mills Beer Co.
400 Water - RochesterThe annual Oktoberfest celebration, Sept. 25-26, will feature live music, dancing, German food, and children’s activities -- including moon walks, pony rides and carnival games -- all under one massive tent with 2,000 of your closest friends! Beers available in the tent will be Rochester Mills’ Oktoberfest (German-style lager), Water Street Wheat (German-style Hefeweizen), and Harvest Lite (American-style light beer). The tent is open from 5-11 p.m.on Friday and from 1-11 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is only $5 for adults; children 16 and under get in free (with a paid adult). All proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the YMCA North Oakland County Waves swim club.
