Opening Day is almost here, and for tried-and-true Detroit baseball fans, that can only mean one thing -- a day-long celebration of all things Tigers (and calling in sick from work of course).

There’s no better place for a Detroiter on opening day than directly in the heart of Tiger Town. Join the pack as the 2012 Tigers roar their way onto the field to take on the Boston Red Sox in the boys' home opener at 1:05 p.m. April 5 at Comerica Park.

Whether you have a ticket to the game or just plan on rounding the bases, err, bars and tailgating – the Detroit Tigers' opening day celebration is the perfect excuse to break out the cold ones, chow down on a few hot dogs and watch the game at one of these downtown hangouts.
