Playing off of Detroit’s love for electronic music, Terri Bond of
Synergy promotions is attempting to reproduce the Detroit Electronic
Music Festival on a much smaller scale. Once a month since March,
artists have come to Pi to display their sonic goods to crowds that have reached 150. “My
turnouts have been great,” Bond says. “Pi is a very trendy spot. The
ambiance is perfect – hardwood floors, granite top bar, patio. I like
how it transforms from a fine restaurant to a chic nightclub." Terrence
Parker and Delano Smith, both of Detroit and Calvin Morgan of Atlanta
tamed the crowd with some soulful house.
