Though the official start of Chinese New Year was Jan. 26, one of Troy’s most prominent Nu-Asian eateries kicked off its celebration a little later with a two-day party filled with traditional Asian events, food and music. Mon Jin Lau, Troy’s not-so-secret sushi lounge and Wednesday-night party spot, shared a some Chinese traditions Tuesday night with a lion dance, firecracker show, fortune tellers and more. On Wednesday, it was time to party with DJs Matt A, Tom T and percussionist Bruce Cobb.
