Commune Lounge is the ideal spot for those who want to experience the Royal Oak nightlife but still hide away. Located downstairs from Bastone Brewery, Commune Lounge's industrial-contemporary design -- highlighted by cinder block and brick walls and low lighting -- creates an underground, laid-back ambience that has earned it a place among the top clubs in metro Detroit since its opening in 2004. Six of the award-winning craft-brewed beers -- created by Michigan's only female brewer, Kim Schneider -- are on tap along with a full bar and wine.
