The mood is up, the music is loud and the crowd is large at former Red Wings player Dino Ciccarelli's 10,000-square-foot discotheque, Club 22. Located in a shopping plaza off of M-59 on Hayes, the area seems to be an unlikely place for weekend partying. However, since it opened in the summer of 2006, a mixed crowd from ages 25-50 Robo-cop and Moonwalk through three decades of music Thursday-Saturday. Although the dress is casual and jeans are allowed, baseball caps, tees and tennis shoes are not. From 7 p.m.-2 a.m. on Thursday nights, ladies and college students are free. For everyone else, the cover charge is $5. On Fridays, entrance is free until 10 p.m., and then it's $5. Saturday's cover is $5 before 10 p.m. and $10 after. --Kristale Ivezaj
