Status: On the scene for over a decade, this riotous Irish pub is no stranger to delivering Ferndale’s fashionable more fun than they can handle.

Prominently displayed near the corner of Woodward and Nine Mile, Rosie O Grady’s brand-spanking new digs are surrounded by three beautiful outdoor patios, complete with lounge areas adorned with cozy fire pits and comfy white couches.

This not so new, yet vastly improved hotspot has found a way to add even more to Ferndale’s flare for the fantastic life.

With so much going on inside and out, it's difficult to file Rosie’s into just one category. Great for a date, dinner with friends or dancing the night away, this all-in-one entertainment establishment is sure to deliver.

Gear: The burly fellow at the front door is as friendly as could be, but don’t think you’re getting in sporting just any old item from your dresser drawers (however you are getting in without paying cover).

While there is no official dress code for entry, ball caps and sweat pants are encouraged strictly for kicking it on the couch at home.

On weekend nights, the atmosphere simply oozes sexiness and the clientele definitely comes dressed to deliver.

Most of the fellas rock jeans and button downs, however a smattering of suit jackets can also be spotted. All the single ladies generally choose to sport their best pair of hip-hugging jeans.

Mood: Every inch of this over 14,000-sq.-ft. establishment is utilized to provide any ambiance you desire. Tall, secluded booths are available for dining and drinking a little out of the limelight. Or, you can set up shop in the spacious main bar area topped with twin rows of 52” flat screens backing up against the dance floor.

In addition to the aforementioned patio areas, there is also a smoke-free dining room, a second smaller bar area and a game room complete with darts, pool and foosball.

If moving and shaking is what you’re looking for, Rosie’s is the place. Just don’t think you’ll be moving too quickly. Fridays and Saturdays are packed from wall to wall with some of metro Detroit’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. So, as you make your way through the masses of hot bodies you can’t be too upset at your sticky situation.

Pick me up: As far as booze and beer go, both bars dish out all the usual bottles, drafts and mixed drinks. Prices won’t break the bank either with bottles of beer coming in at a reasonable $3 to $4.

It’s a well known fact that the Irish know how to throw down some drinks. Another well-known certainty is their affinity for delectable delicacies. Rosie’s full menu boasts premium selections including steaks, tableside tossed salads, fresh ground sirloin burgers and even a delightful ice cream parlor.

For those with a somewhat simpler palate, they also dish out tons of traditional Irish pub grub like Rueben sandwiches and Shepard’s Pie.

Entertainment: Giving off a laid-back sports bar feel through the week, they dial it up on the weekends with rotating DJs packing the dance floor all night long. Throw down your best moves, do work in the game room or just catch the Tigers' latest victory in hi-def. Whatever your pleasure, Rosie’s aims to please.

Rosie's does indeed "dial it up on the weekends." We neighbors cannot enjoy our own TVs and music, peace and quiet is no longer in our homes, getti...
