Dining: “For dinner downtown, Fishbone’s. For breakfast downtown, Sweet Lorraine’s Cafe. For seafood in Royal Oak, Lily’s.

Where to hang: For blues and jazz, Seldom Blues downtown. You can also eat there, they have good food. In Royal Oak, Goodnite Gracie, a little jazz bar…and the Sky Bar in Sangria in Royal Oak.

The day off: The Pistons. (I went to two games last year against Cleveland). By far, those are the two best basketball games I’ve been to in a long time. Two good games that went down the end that were hard-played. Fans were intense and into the whole thing. They were just good basketball games.

Shopping: There are a lot of little boutiques in Royal Oak. It’s fun to walk around Royal Oak, especially when the weather gets good.
