Forget the Teletubbie outfits and the naughty nurses and take a step back in time to the era of 1940’s glamour. Lauren Lee of Annex Entertainment teamed up with promotion companies the LADNY Angels and Empress Exemplar to present not just a party, but a mood at 1941 Cigars and Stilettos at the Woodward. “We have prided ourselves on bringing social experiences that reflect the ambiance of our theme. 1941 is not just going to be a bar and a DJ. It will be like traveling back in time. When you are there you will feel like you are in that era.” Guys are encouraged to rock the zoot suits, pinstripes and fedoras. Dolls, it’s ‘40s vintage, pinup style, corsets, stilettos and garters. “We just wanted something different,” says TaNesha Ahmed of LADNY Angels. “It’s sophisticated and classy at the same time.”
