Located between Nine Mile & Woodward, trendy downtown Ferndale is home to a variety of hip restaurants, clubs, theaters and galleries. Attractions include Red Thursdays in summer to benefit the American Red Cross, the Ferndale Pub Crawl in July, the Ferndale Dream Cruise, the Ferndale Funky Art Show and DIY Festival and the Downtown Ferndale Holiday Ice Festival. Entertainment venues include The Magic Bag and The Ringwald Theater. Shopping highlights include Naka, Twisted Shamrock, Contempo Home, House of Chants and Beautiful Home. Numerous art galleries dapple the downtown area as well as an assortment of restaurants and bars, including Woodward Avenue Brewers (WAB), Club Bart, Buffalo Wild Wings, Boogie Fever, The Bosco and Assaggi Bistro. --Andrea K.
